After using the VI-SPDAT for the last 5 years, it was decided to create a new housing assessment tool (HAT) that focuses on housing people in the most appropriate housing. Place Value © is a new, original approach to meet HUD’s requirement for a standardized assessment component to Coordinated Entry. Comprised of five scales, Place Value offers thousands of possible score combinations, reducing scoring ties and clarifying referral decisions.
