Katie Welch, MPA, is a Planning Data Analyst at Tarrant County Homeless Coalition. With a background in mechanical engineering and public administration, she is passionate about applying math/science/tech strategies toward complex social issues such as homelessness. In her role, she analyzes and presents system-level HMIS data in relation to the CoC’s long term goal of providing everyone a place to call home (reaching system-wide “functional zero”). She also conducts system modeling, reviews resource allocation, proposes new strategies to improve system performance, and creates tools for partner agencies. Recently, she created a Power BI dashboard tool showcasing voucher utilization over time at the system, agency, and project level.
